so you got your elite after all. :) excellent shot here. i got a nice lightning shot too but then half my archive vanished into nirvana because of a stupid f***ing mechanical HD failure. 10 here from me. :)

Well captured strikes of lightning. I'm not sure about the composition it seems slightly heavy on the left, perhaps a tighter crop just to the left of the pine tree (jus a thought).

So you changed your mind after all... ;)

Wel, this certainly looks like a perfect timing!

I'd also suggest you to crop off a little bit from the right as to Ionerbit's recommendation!

Awesome capture! The composition doesn't bother me, but I guess I too would crop at least 1cm off the right side. Great colours and the silhouetted foreground is perfect.

Just as a suggestion, and I know it's against the rule book, but i think a crop from the left, causing some of the lighter trails to bleed out of the frame, gives the lightning strike a greater sense of width... a little from the top would balance the strike in a more central position (top to bottom), and if possible I'd even add a little to the right to make the neg space balance the action.

And now I must apologize for rudely chopping your picture to shreds and not once mentioning what a stunning capture and excellent composition you've achieved.

this time i have to disagree with patrick: don't crop, dynamic gains from the unbalanced composition.
wonderful capture! *envy*
i never had the right timing... *sigh*

Woah, the wide boarder is really nice.
Plus I love how the lighting seems so fine - like fibers. :)
