Couple of thoughts, though:
Is there any reason cllicking on the thumbnails loads the photo inside the layout, while clicking "Large View" loads the photo on a different page? My inclination would be to load into the layout consistently--but with some breathing space or a border for the photo.
Also, I think a little space around the thumbnails themselves would show off each more effectively, rather than sandwiching 'em all together.
I made a little mockup to illustrate what I'm talking about here. Just my humble suggestions. Your layout is already beautiful and functional and clearly carefully planned.
